Town Hall: Inequality and Racism in the Meetings and Events Industry

LGBT MPA stands in solidarity with the underserved and underrepresented.  On June 24th, we hosted our very first Town Hall. It was and still is important for us to initiate a dialogue around social and racial injustices within our meetings and events community, which has been magnified by Black Lives Matter. Through this open and honest dialogue, we discussed how this movement transcends into the meeting and events industry, the impact it has on other marginalized communities, and the importance of change.
While unable to solve all problems of social inequality, this Town Hall will serve as a foundation for LGBT MPA to continue facilitating conversation and bring diverse perspectives into solving deeply rooted injustices within meetings and events. Please watch this recording of LGBT MPA and our guests discuss current issues share individual stories in this open space.
